Aston Villa Under-18s are back at Villa Park on Tuesday as they face Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup (ko 2pm).

Villa produced a fine team display to see off Brentford with a 5-0 in the third round back in December, with Rory Wilson scoring a hat-trick and Kobei Moore and Finley Munroe also on target.

Under-18 Professional Development Coach Gerard Nash and his team are fully focused on the next challenge and are looking forward to another experience of a big game at Villa Park.

He said: "It was a good night, we were pleased with the performance (against Brentford) because it was a tricky tie.

"We have reflected on it and we're ready for the next challenge.

"This club has a fine tradition and history of doing really well in the competition.

"It's really good for the players to play at Villa Park, against really good opposition.

"Those things are important for the players and their development.”

Villa have already faced Southampton once this season, when they opened their U18 Premier League South campaign with a 3-3 draw on the south coast.

The two teams are level on points in the table and Nash is excited for a tough test.

"We are really looking forward to it, hopefully we can get the ball down and play some good football,” he added.

"They have a really strong Academy.

"Our focus is primarily on us, and on how we be the best version of ourselves.”
