Aston Villa is delighted to announce Sam Proctor has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The goalkeeper has featured for Villa’s Under-18 and Under-21 teams this season, in addition to earning a place among the substitutes in the matchday 20 for our Premier League fixture against Brentford last weekend.
Academy Manager Mark Harrison is excited to see Proctor continue his progress.
“Everyone is delighted to see Sam sign his first professional contract, this is a great reflection of his development since he joined the club and the work that he and the goalkeeping department have put into his programme," Harrison said.
“At the age of 16, Sam has already been involved in a first-team matchday squad and played for our Under-21 team as well as representing England.
“He recognises all these experiences are great for his development but also appreciates there is much work to do as well. We look forward to watching how he develops over the next few years.”
