Aston Villa have again teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2023/24 FPL season.
Fantasy Football Scout are here to use their expertise to provide helpful info and guidance which may just prove useful in ensuring you're sitting at the top of your respective league before long.
Here they recommend some Villa additions to consider in each position heading into the festive fixtures...
After Sunday’s comeback win against Brentford, Aston Villa remain third in the Premier League just one point off top spot. They’ve scored the second-most goals (37) so far in 2023/24, with two clean sheets from the last three outings and a streak of home wins that is now up to a brilliant 15.
Therefore it makes sense that Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are trying to increase their investment in Villa’s reasonably-priced assets.
Goalkeeper - Emi Martínez (£5.1m)
Only four teams have let in fewer goals than Villa’s 21 and some may remember the remarkable spring run when seven clean sheets arrived in 10 matches between Gameweeks 25 and 33.

Unai Emery’s side rank third-best for shots conceded (173), so having a route into this backline – such as stopper Martínez - could prove to be a wise decision.
Defender - Pau Torres (£4.7m)
The sole Villa defender on more points than the Argentinian World Cup winner is summer signing Torres. That’s because he’s already scored two goals – away at Wolves and Spurs.
A solid 22 points from the last five matches means he’s averaged 4.4 over this recent period, which has pushed him to the verge of being within FPL’s top-10 defenders.
Only team-mate Matty Cash (£4.7m) has accumulated more ‘big chances’ amongst all FPL defenders but Torres has started every match apart from August’s opening weekend.
Midfielder - Leon Bailey (£5.6m)

A midfielder in great form, Bailey has an attacking return from four successive league games - goals against Bournemouth and Manchester City as well as assists against Arsenal and Brentford.
These four matches have yielded four shots on target and five attempts from inside the penalty area, while he’s also set up five chances for others.
Forward - Ollie Watkins (£8.6m)
By netting Sunday’s winning goal against the Bees, Watkins becomes this season’s fourth FPL player to exceed 100 points. It’s been a phenomenal 2023 for the Villa striker, as last season’s Gameweeks 21 to 31 period brought 11 goals and three assists from 12 matches.
He’s continued it into this campaign, accumulating 18 attacking returns from 17 outings – averaging more than one per appearance – and sitting third overall for goal attempts (50).

Furthermore, he’s second for shots inside the box (47) and the number one forward for penalty area touches (112).
That’s why Watkins is a leading contender for Gameweek 18 captaincy, with FPL’s big-money premiums either playing in the Club World Cup or facing some of the league’s in-form defences.
