A fifth consecutive home win is the aim for Aston Villa when Fulham visit Villa Park on Tuesday evening.

Unai Emery’s team have won their past four encounters in B6 by an aggregate scoreline of 9-0, seeing off Newcastle United 3-0 last time out on home turf.

The Villans are also fresh from fighting back against Brentford to claim a 1-1 draw that extended the team’s unbeaten run to nine matches.

Fulham have enjoyed a productive first season back in the top flight, fighting it out in the top ten for most of the campaign.

Having accrued 20 points on their travels, the Cottagers boast the seventh-best away record heading to Villa Park.

Back-to-back wins, including a 2-1 success at Leeds United last time out, ended a run of five straight defeats.

Standout Stats

Aston Villa's solitary defeat in their past 18 league games at home to Fulham came on 5 April 2014 (W10, D7).

The Cottagers can beat Villa home and away in a top-flight season for only the third time, having done so in 1962-63 and 2013-14.

Aston Villa are unbeaten in nine league games, taking 23 points out of a possible 27 and keeping six clean sheets.

It's the club's longest Premier League sequence without defeat since a run of 10 from May to October 2011.

Fulham are one of only two sides with a 100% winning record in midweek Premier League fixtures this season. They have four victories, one fewer than Manchester City.

Villa could win five consecutive top-flight matches at Villa Park for the first time since May to September 1998, while they last did so without conceding between March-April 1983.

The Villans have scored in all 19 Premier League fixtures under Unai Emery, the longest streak from the start of a manager's tenure in the competition's history.

Fulham need one win to equal the club record of 14 in a Premier League season, set four times.

Ollie Watkins has scored 11 times in 13 league appearances and needs one goal to become the first Villa player to reach 15 in a top-flight season since Christian Benteke a decade ago.

Fulham are vying for an outright club record seventh top-flight away victory in a season. Their current tally of six was also achieved in 1960-61 and 1962-63.

The Last Meeting

Fulham were comfortable winners against Aston Villa at Craven Cottage back in October.

Harrison Reed fired the hosts into a 36th-minute lead as he drilled home from the edge of the penalty area.

Villa’s hopes of a comeback were dealt a blow when Douglas Luiz saw red shortly after the hour following an off-the-ball clash with Aleksandar Mitrovic.

And the Cottagers doubled their lead just minutes later as Mitrovic slotted home a penalty before Tyrone Mings’ late own goal from Neeskens Kebano’s cross.

Team News

Emi Martinez.

Emiliano Martinez will be assessed ahead of the game, having been replaced on the weekend as he struggled with a stomach virus.

Leon Bailey, Boubacar Kamara, Philippe Coutinho and Matty Cash have all been ruled out.

Fulham’s top marksman Aleksandar Mitrovic is suspended, while Dan James can return after being ineligible to play against Leeds last time out.

The Boss

“I like their coach a lot. (Marco) Silva is a very good coach. He’s very experienced here in the Premier League and has been successful. They are a very organised team. I try to take my personal challenges and to play against them – how we can play against them, how we will be organised against them offensively and defensively, how we can perform against the very good players they have. As a coach, tactically, I expect a lot from them.”
