Emi MartĂnez will be assessed ahead of Aston Villa’s encounter against Fulham on Tuesday night.
The Argentina international goalkeeper was substituted at half-time in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Brentford having struggled with a stomach virus.
MartĂnez will be checked over ahead of the midweek visit of Fulham to see if he is ready to start the Premier League clash, with head coach Emery hopeful he is available.
But Villa remain without injured quartet Matty Cash, Boubacar Kamara, Philippe Coutinho and Leon Bailey.
