Supporters are advised there will be a disrupted train service in operation for Saturday’s fixture against Nottingham Forest at Villa Park.
Villa host The Reds for a sold-out Premier League encounter as they look to extend their six-match unbeaten sequence.
There will be disruption to rail services across the Easter weekend to conduct essential improvements and engineering works across the network.
Please check for timetable changes before you travel and consider alternative routes as your journey may take longer.
What does this mean?
- Cross City services will not be running from Lichfield Trent Valley/Sutton Coldfield and will therefore not be available as an option for those travelling to Villa Park. Please consult the Journey Planner (tfwm.org.uk) to find alternative routes or rail information can be found at National Rail Enquiries.
- If you are travelling from Walsall or Rugeley you are advised to travel to Witton Station as services on this route will not call at Aston.
- Additional services will be running for a two-hour window before and after the match between Birmingham New Street and Aston/Witton. Please plan ahead and consider travelling earlier to avoid missing your train.
- Detailed information can be found at West Midlands Railway.
If you use a bus to get to the stadium, some service frequency changes will be made over the holidays. Please check bus operator timetables before you travel.
Fans are advised to plan ahead and allow more time for your journey to the stadium as roads are expected to be busier than usual.
