April is a packed month for Unai Emery's team, so take a look at their advice for the upcoming matches...

Aston Villa players have become popular picks for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers due to their outstanding form. In fact, both Ollie Watkins (£7.5m) and Tyrone Mings (£4.4m) are in the top seven most transferred in players ahead of Saturday’s Gameweek 30 deadline.

The Villans are currently averaging a chance every eight minutes and have had 60 attempts on goal from Gameweeks 26 to 29. In this period, they have hit the woodwork three times and only two teams have scored more than Villa’s nine goals.

Since Gameweek 21, Watkins has scored eight goals - more than anyone else in the game. His ten attacking returns in this period are also a leading total amongst all forwards.

The only forward to better Watkins’ 28 shots is Harry Kane (£11.8m) but the Spurs forward is £4.3m more expensive.

Doubling up on Aston Villa investment seems wise for FPL managers between now and the end of the season. Tyrone Mings (£4.4m) and Ezri Konsa (£4.4m) both look like exceptional options for defensive coverage.

Mings and Konsa have registered four clean sheets in their last six matches, with Mings also picking up an assist and eight bonus points. Indeed, since Gameweek 25, only Ben White (£4.7m) has registered more returns than Mings across all defenders in the game.

Three of the top six returning defenders in this period belong to Aston Villa, as Matty Cash (£4.6m) and Alex Moreno (£4.4m) both have four of them.
