Villa Park opens its doors for Aston Villa Women’s first home game of the Women’s Super League season later this month.

Carla Ward’s side, featuring summer signing Rachel Daly, take on Manchester City on Sunday, September 18 (ko 12:30pm).

In addition to what promises to be a great game of football, there will also be plenty of entertainment at Villa Park on matchday.

The Match

Villa sent shockwaves through the domestic game when they secured the signing of Daly just eight days after she’d won the European Championships with England.

Further additions to the squad, including French international Kenza Dali and striker Natasha Harding, have added to the excitement ahead of the club’s third season in the WSL.

The team will be looking to improve upon a ninth-place finish last term, with a game against City providing a great opportunity to test themselves against one of the best sides in the country.

City boast an array of international talent, and they have Lionesses Ellie Roebuck, Alex Greenwood, Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly in their ranks.

Tickets

Villa Women have seen Season Ticket sales rise to unprecedented levels on the back of the Lionesses’ success in this summer’s European Championships.

And tickets for the club’s game at Villa Park have been in demand too, with a record crowd set to be in attendance against Manchester City.

Tickets cost just £5 for under-14s and £10 for adults, and they’re available to purchase via the link below.

The match also represents a perfect opportunity for fans to enjoy Villa Park hospitality, priced at £45 for adults and £15 for under-14s.

Matchday Entertainment

Before the match kicks off, there will be plenty going on at the stadium to keep fans of all ages entertained.

Supporters will be able to listen to live music and an inspirational speaker in the Trinity Fan Zone and grab a bite from the local street food traders situated nearby.

Villa Park.

A regular feature on men’s matchdays, the Family Fun Zone will be in full swing for junior fans to enjoy.

Drop in to have your face painted, dance to music from a DJ and get involved in inflatable games and football activities.

Young supporters can also see some of their favourite TV characters at Villa Park, including Peppa Pig and George Pig, The Gruffalo and Zog.

These characters will be available for meet and greets in the Family Fun Zone, Fan Zone and hospitality.

And to add to the excitement, European champion and former Villa player Jill Scott will be present for a live Q&A in the Trinity forecourt!

Villa Store and Parking

The Villa Store will open its doors at 10am on matchday to give fans plenty of time to pick up any merchandise ahead of kick-off. 

Parking will be available free of charge at the stadium on a first come, first served basis.

Alternatively, the coach car park situated on Witton Lane is also open to supporters, as is Waterworks.
