Aaron Ramsey was on form for Norwich City in the Championship on Saturday as the Canaries picked up a fifth straight league win.

The young midfielder notched an assist for Josh Sargent in first half stoppage time to put Norwich 2-0 up against Coventry City at Carrow Road.  

Dean Smith’s team went on to win the game 3-0 and climb to the summit of the Championship.

Kortney Hause made his first start for Watford as the Hornets battled back to draw 1-1 at Rotherham.

Richard Wood’s early goal was cancelled out by Vakoun Bayo for the away side, who brought Keinan Davis on after 67 minutes.

There was an EFL debut for Tim Iroegbunam in Wales as he came on for the final 20 minutes of QPR’s 1-0 defeat to Swansea City.

Jaden Philogene started again for Cardiff City but the winger couldn’t inspire his side as they went down 2-0 away at Millwall.

Huddersfield Town and Kaine Kesler Hayden were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline against Blackpool, with the defender substituted after 56 minutes.

In League One, Finn Azaz’s introduction in the 61st minute helped Plymouth Argyle overturn a 2-1 deficit to beat Derby County 3-2 at Pride Park.

Viljami Sinisalo was back between the posts for Burton Albion but was unable to help the Brewers off the bottom of the table as they lost 2-1 against Oxford United.

There were debuts for two Villa loanees in League Two, with Caleb Chukwuemeka and Tyreik Wright appearing as substitutes for Crawley Town and Bradford City respectively.

Ben Chrisene played the full 90 minutes for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership as they battled for most of the match with ten men before succumbing to a 1-0 loss against Hibernian.

Bertrand Traoré’s loan spell at İstanbul Başakşehir got off to a positive start as the winger grabbed an assist in his 15 minutes of action on debut as his side beat Alanyaspor 2-0.

Louie Barry (MK Dons), Hayden Lindley (Newport County) and Brad Young (Ayr United) didn’t feature for their respective sides.
