Danny Ings felt Aston Villa were unfortunate to come off the pitch without scoring against Chelsea at Villa Park on Sunday.
A catalogue of terrific saves from Kepa Arrizabalaga thwarted the home side at every turn in the first half as they created a series of openings, with the best save of the lot denying Ings himself from point-blank range.
The striker felt they pushed the Blues all the way and were unlucky to have lost 2-0.

He said: “It’s always tough when you come off the pitch without scoring when you’ve had chances. They’re just not going in for us at the moment.
“Credit to their ‘keeper, I thought he kept them in the game. My header and JJ’s strike were magnificent saves. If they go in, it’s a different game.
“That’s our luck at the moment but you have to keep fighting together and keep pushing.”
Ings added: “Up until the second goal it was a close game. We really put them under pressure – in the first half especially.
“We came out and the crowd were with us. It was one of those days and when they get the second goal, as a team they’re very strong and they saw it out.”

A trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham is next up on Thursday before the side are back at Villa Park to play Brentford on Sunday.
Ings says the squad have to keep the faith as they bid to put points on the board.
He said: “After a loss, as players, we all want that next game to come as quickly as possible.
“Now we’ve got to recover and get ready for that one because it’s a huge game and one that we believe we can win.
“If we play that good in future games, we’re going to win football matches. It’s important we put the ball away when it does come.
“It’s important we keep believing in ourselves and the goals and points will come.”
