Rachel Daly and Carla Ward have been recognised for their contributions to Aston Villa Women's flying start to the 2022/23 season.
Wins against Manchester City and Leicester City mean Villa ended the month of September with a 100% record in the Barclays Women's Super League.

Daly, who has scored three league goals across those two victories, is up for both Player of the Month and Goal of the Month.

Daly returned to the WSL on a permanent basis following a decade-long absence, and to say she has hit the ground running is quite the understatement.
Our striker netted a beauty against City at Villa Park, a goal which has been nominated for Goal of the Month, before bagging the winner in the second half from close range.
The 30-year-old then converted from the penalty spot in the opening exchanges of our win over Leicester to cap a superb month.

Unsurprisingly, Carla Ward has been nominated for the Manager of the Month award.
The boss was nominated for the same award this time last season, but this time around perhaps represents a greater opportunity to pick up the award after a 100% start.
Voting is now open and closes at 10:00 on Monday, October 10.
