Aston Villa trio Emiliano Martínez, Matty Cash and Jan Bednarek are through to the knockout stages of the World Cup after a tense night in Qatar on Wednesday.
Martínez and Cash started as Argentina played Poland in the final round of matches in Group C, while Jan Bednarek was named among the Poland substitutes.
Lionel Messi missed a first-half penalty for Argentina before they eventually took the lead via Alexis Mac Allister early in the second half.
Polish nerves grew when Argentina went 2-0 up, leaving them level with Mexico and meaning second place was set to be decided by fair play points.
But Cash and Bednarek were left to celebrate progression alongside Martínez when they finished second on goal difference courtesy of a late Saudi Arabia goal against Mexico.
