Aston Villa beat Norwich City 2-1 in an impressive Premier League 2 performance on Friday night.
An early Norwich red card led to Villa taking complete control of proceedings at Bodymoor Heath, and 16-year-old Rory Wilson put the Young Lions ahead with a lovely finish 33 minutes in.
A freak goal from Norwich’s Sean Stewart tied the scores up with 10 minutes to play, but Tommi O’Reilly was on hand moments later to deservedly restore Villa’s lead with a clinical finish.
A feisty final few minutes followed but the Young Lions held on for their second consecutive victory in PL2.

It was a strong start for the visitors and Villa’s Kerr Smith was called upon to make a fantastic sliding block to deny Nowich’s Alex Matos from scoring just three minutes in.
But the Young Lions grew into the game as the first half progressed, controlling possession and playing some slick passes.

Norwich were then reduced to 10 men after Matos saw red for a poor challenge on Seb Revan, who was thankfully okay to continue.
Just a few minutes later, a defensive mix-up from the away side led to 16-year-old Rory Wilson picking the ball up in a dangerous area, and he emphatically curled the ball into the corner to open the scoring.

The Young Lions started the second half keen to increase their lead, threatening straight away as Declan Frith was denied by a goal-line clearance early on.
Ruben Shakpoke then came close with his very first touch after being substituted on, before Revan had a point-blank strike crucially blocked.
Another Villa chance fell the way of defender Josh Feeney, who had out-muscled his marker to get on the end of a cross, but his stab at goal was well saved.

Disaster struck for Villa in the 79th minute as a 40-yard Norwich free-kick somehow dropped into the net at the far post, Sean Stewart the scorer.
But it took just two minutes for the Young Lions to bite back, Tommi O’Reilly slamming home from close range to put Villa back into the lead.
Norwich threatened in the closing moments, but Villa stood strong and deservedly claimed all three points at Bodymoor Heath.
