Aston Villa fell to an agonising 3-2 defeat at Manchester City on a dramatic final day of the Premier League season.

The Villans led 2-0 with 15 minutes remaining courtesy of goals in either half from Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho.

But City struck three times in five minutes with a brace from Ilkay Gundogan and another from Rodrigo to inflict a late turnaround at the Etihad Stadium and be crowned Premier League champions.

It ensured Villa finished the 2021/22 top-flight campaign in 14^th place on 45 points.
