Hannah Hampton and Jill Scott have been named in the provisional England squad for this summer’s European Championships.

Goalkeeper Hampton and midfielder Scott, who is on loan from Manchester City, have been selected by Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman.

Hampton, 21, was first called into the national set-up in 2020, eventually making her senior debut in an Arnold Clark Cup fixture against Spain in February.

Scott has had a long and distinguished career for her country, winning 151 caps and scoring 20 goals.

The final 23-player selection is due to be confirmed in mid-June. Hosts England kick-off their Euro 2022 campaign with a game against Austria at Old Trafford on Wednesday, July 6.
