Matty Cash’s fine form in March has seen him nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award.
The 24-year-old’s stellar season continued when he provided an assist against Southampton as Aston Villa began the month with a 4-0 win at Villa Park.
Cash raced to the byline before pulling the ball back for Danny Ings to finish off the rout of the Saints.
A trip to Elland Road was next up, and the full-back highlighted his attacking qualities once again with an assist for Philippe Coutinho and a well-taken goal.
The defensive side of Cash’s game was also on show that night as Villa ran out 3-0 winners against Leeds United.
Cash is up against Chelsea duo Trevoh Chalobah and Kai Havertz, Tottenham Hotspur pair Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Brentford’s Ivan Toney for the award.
