Aston Villa will open their 2022/23 Premier League season away at AFC Bournemouth.

Steven Gerrard’s side travel to Vitality Stadium to face the top-flight newcomers on Saturday, August 6.

The Cherries secured automatic promotion having finished as runners-up in the Championship last term.

Villa’s first home fixture of the campaign sees Everton visit Villa Park on Saturday, August 13.

The Villans, who are unbeaten in their previous three home meetings against the Toffees, will be looking for a repeat of their 3-0 triumph in last season’s corresponding fixture.

A trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace follows on Saturday, August 20 before Carabao Cup Round Two action gets underway.

Villa then entertain West Ham United on home soil, a fixture likely to move to Sunday, August 28 due to the Hammers' involvement in Europe (see note below), before completing their opening six fixtures with a midweek trip to Arsenal and an encounter against champions Manchester City at Villa Park.

Villa travel to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, November 12 before a six-week Premier League break for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Gerrard’s outfit return to action with a mouth-watering home clash against Liverpool at Villa Park on Boxing Day.

A trip to Tottenham Hotspur awaits on New Year’s Eve before a home test against midlands neighbours Wolves on Monday, January 2.

Aston Villa 2022/23 Premier League fixtures

Villa’s final four fixtures of the season in May sees a derby encounter against Wanderers at Molineux, followed by Spurs at home and a tough trip to Anfield to face Liverpool in our last away fixture of the campaign on Saturday, May 20.

The club then wrap up our 2022/23 season at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in front of the Villa faithful on Sunday, May 28.
