Cameron Archer scored his first goal for England Under-21s as they qualified for the 2023 European Championships on Tuesday night.

The striker came off the bench after 73 minutes and was on the scoresheet four minutes later to round off a 3-0 victory against Albania in Chesterfield.

Archer produced a clinical finish at the near post to turn home Anthony Gordon’s cross, adding to a brace from Folarin Balogun.

Fellow Villan Jacob Ramsey was an unused substitute for Lee Carlsey’s Young Lions following his goalscoring performance in their last outing against Czech Republic on Friday.

The pair will now prepare for Kosovo on Friday, June 10 (7pm) and Slovenia on Monday, June 13 (7:45pm).
