Aston Villa’s Under-21 and Under-18 squads are all set for the 2022/23 season after their fixtures were released this week.

The Under-21 squad, who will be led by new Senior Professional Development Phase Coach Tony Carss, will once again be competing in Premier League 2 Division 2.

They begin their season at Bodymoor Heath on Friday, August 5 (7pm ko) when they take on Middlesbrough.

Two derby games against West Bromwich Albion, including one at Villa Park on Friday, September 30 (7pm ko), add intrigue to their schedule, which is set to finish with a trip to Nottingham Forest on Friday, April 21.

The Under-18 squad are also under new stewardship following the summer appointments of Gerrard Nash, Lead Under-18 Professional Development Phase Coach, and Adem Atay, Professional Development Coach, to work alongside Karl Hooper.

Looking to improve upon a 12th place finish in the U18 Premier League South division last time round, the Young Lions start with a trip to Southampton on Saturday, August 13 (1pm ko).

The Under-18s have 22 league matches to look forward to in total, bringing their campaign to a close away to Arsenal on Saturday, April 29 (12pm ko).
