Finn Azaz was named in the League Two Team of the Week after a star showing for Newport County on Saturday.

The midfielder registered two assists as the Welsh side picked up their first win of 2022, thrashing Harrogate Town 4-0.

Azaz laid on a goal for Dom Telford either side of half-time as Newport secured a comfortable win that keeps them in the play-off places.

Keinan Davis was in action for Nottingham Forest as they picked up a late win at Millwall in the Championship.

The forward started and played 73 minutes for the Tricky Trees, who won 1-0 thanks to Lewis Grabban’s stoppage time goal.

Elsewhere in the second tier, Conor Hourihane came off the bench after 68 minutes as Sheffield United lost to Derby County at Pride Park.

The Blades slipped to 14th in the table while Davis’ and Forest stay ninth.

Lovre Kalinic helped Hajduk Split to a victory against Siroki Brijeg in a friendly on Sunday.

Split won 2-1 as they prepare for the resumption of their league campaign after a winter break.

In France, Frederic Guilbert came on as a substitute for Strasbourg as they continued their good form with a 3-1 win against Montpellier in Ligue 1.

The full-back played the final 21 minutes for Strasbourg, who have lost only once in their last nine league games.

After signing on Friday, Seb Revan made his Hereford FC debut against Gateshead on Saturday.

The defender played the full 90 minutes as his team conceded two second half goals to go down 2-0, leaving them 16th in National League North.

Anwar El Ghazi was an unused substitute for Everton as they lost 2-1 against Norwich City in the Premier League.

Aaron Ramsey (Cheltenham Town), Caleb Chukwuemeka (Livingston), Akos Onodi (Bromsgrove Sporting), Mungo Bridge (FC Annecy) and Wesley (Internacional) didn’t feature for their respective clubs.
