By Aston Villa FC

Aston Villa Women will return from the winter break and kick off 2022 when they face Manchester City at the Banks's Stadium on Saturday, January 15 (ko 12.30pm).

Overall, Carla Ward's side enjoyed a positive first few months of the 2021/22 campaign in which they emerged victors in the Second City derby and mustered 10 league points.

Our success early on in the season also included a come-from-behind win over Leicester City on the opening day as well as a 1-0 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion in the same month.

Villa finished the calendar year with a difficult run of games and will be keen to start 2022 with a bang in front of our beloved home support.

The visit of the Blues belatedly kickstarts a pivotal month which is followed by a visit to Leicester City and a Fourth Round FA Cup tie against Chelsea.

Attractive ticket pricing is available for all ages; so why not come along, enjoy some lunchtime football and get behind Villa Women!
