The winner of Aston Villa's FA Cup Third Round tie with Manchester United will face Middlesbrough at home in the Fourth Round of the competition.
Steven Gerrard's side travel to Old Trafford on Monday night (kick-off: 7:55pm) and possible opponents for the next stage were confirmed on Sunday.
Boro made it through to the Fourth Round with a dramatic 3-2 victory away at Mansfield Town on Saturday, with Uche Ikpeazu and Caolan Boyd-Munce on target for Chris Wilder's team before Elliott Hewitt's decisive 95th-minute own goal sealed progression.
Should Villa progress, they will face the Championship side for the first time since March 2019, when Anwar El Ghazi, John McGinn and Albert Adomah all scored in a 3-0 win.
The Fourth Round tie will take place between Friday, February 4 and Monday, February 7.
