Trézéguet helped guide Egypt to the Africa Cup of Nations final as they progressed past tournament hosts Cameroon in a penalty shoot-out on Thursday.
The Pharaohs triumphed 3-1 on penalties as their semi-final clash finished goalless after extra-time.
Aston Villa wide man Trézéguet was introduced as a half-time substitute and completed the remainder of the encounter as it went the full distance.
Trézéguet and Egypt will now face Senegal in Sunday’s final at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde (ko 7pm).
Villa team-mate Bertrand Traoré will also be in action on Saturday as Burkina Faso host Cameroon in the third-placed play-off (ko 7pm).

Cameroon twice struck the woodwork against Egypt, with Pharaohs coach Carlos Queiroz also sent off late on, before the clash went to extra-time.
A goalless additional period followed and Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal was the hero as he saved two penalties.
Seven-time winners Egypt are now into their first final since 2017 and will be looking to secure their first triumph since 2010.
