Aston Villa showed three changes for the derby encounter at Wolves as Lucas Digne, Morgan Sanson and Leon Bailey all returned to Steven Gerrard’s line-up.
Left-back Digne was fit again having been ruled out of the defeat to Arsenal last time out, while Sanson and Bailey were handed starting berths for the Premier League clash.
Ashley Young, Douglas Luiz and Emi Buendía were all named among the substitutes for the short trip across the midlands, and they were joined by goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo.
Villa were aiming for back-to-back wins at Molineux for the first time since 2012 having triumphed 1-0 in last season's meeting.
