Dean Smith has named his starting XI for today's game against Everton at Villa Park.

The Aston Villa head coach has made one change from last weekend's loss to Chelsea.

Emiliano Martínez returns in goal in place of Jed Steer, while fellow Argentine Emiliano Buendia is among the substitutes.

A defence of Matt Targett, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings, Axel Tuanzebe and Matty Cash will look to nulify an Everton attack that has hit ten goals in their first four league games.

Douglas Luiz, John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey will patrol the midfield, with Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings up front.
