Aaron Ramsey's fast start to the season has seen him nominated for Premier League 2's Player of the Month award for August.

The midfielder, who scored ten PL2 goals last season, has picked up where he left off, netting in two in two games.

Ramsey scored Aston Villa's first goal as they came from 2-0 down to beat Nottingham Forest 5-2 in their season opener before bagging a free-kick in a 2-1 success against Middlesbrough.

Ramsey is up against Omari Giraud-Hutchinson (Arsenal), Evan Ferguson (Brighton), Harvey Vale (Chelsea), James McAtee (Man City), Dylan Stephenson (Newcastle), Jonathan Tomkinson (Norwich) and Dilan Markanday (Tottenham Hotspur) for the award.

The news comes on the back of the 18-year-old being added to England's Under-21s squad for their UEFA U21 EURO qualifier against Kosovo at Stadium MK on Tuesday.

Good luck, Aaron!
