Loan round-up: Three Villans in FA Cup action

Seb Revan and Arjan Raikhy both progressed to the First Round of the FA Cup with their respective loan clubs at the weekend. 

Revan was the star of the show for Grimsby Town as they overcame Ákos Onódi's Bromsgrove Sporting 5-0 in the fourth qualifying round of the competition. 

The 18-year-old full-back scored twice and recorded an assist while Onódi produced a string of top saves, including one from a Lenell John-Lewis penalty. 

Raikhy was back in the starting XI and played 56 minutes as Stockport County reached the First Round Proper with a 3-0 win over Stamford. 

Frédéric Guilbert and Strasbourg were on top form in Ligue 1, with the full-back recording an assist for the opener in a 5-1 home victory over Saint-Étienne, which lifted them to eighth in the league standings. 

Conor Hourihane came on for the final 19 minutes as Sheffield United produced a late comeback to beat Stoke City 2-1 in the Championship, while in Croatia, Lovre Kalinic and Hajduk Split fell to a 2-0 defeat away at Sibenik.

Inter Miami suffered another heavy defeat in MLS, with Indiana Vassilev playing 88 minutes but unable to prevent a 4-0 defeat to Columbus Crew. 

As always, there was plenty of action in League Two for our young loanees, with Kaine Kesler-Hayden making a crucial impact for Swindon Town as they drew 2-2 with Rochdale. 

The 18-year-old provided the assist for Jonny Williams' 93rd-minute equaliser to spark wild celebrations at the County Ground.

Elsewhere in the fourth tier, Tyreik Wright came on for the final 18 minutes of Salford City's 2-0 win over Hartlepool United, while Finn Azaz appeared as a second-half substitute during Newport County's 2-2 draw away at Exeter. 

Brad Young and Dominic Revan were unused substitutes for Carlisle United and Northampton Town respectively. 

Wesley, Louie Barry and Mungo Bridge were not involved for their respective clubs at the weekend.
