Emi Martínez and Douglas Luiz were both named in Aston Villa’s starting line-up to face midlands neighbours Wolves at Villa Park (ko 3pm).

Goalkeeper Martínez and midfielder Luiz lined up on international duty for Argentina and Brazil respectively in South America in the early hours of Friday morning.

But the pair swiftly returned to the midlands and were included in Dean Smith’s XI for the derby clash against Wanderers.

Smith made two changes from the defeat at Tottenham Hotspur prior to the international break, Emi Buendía and Axel Tuanzebe coming in for Jacob Ramsey and Kortney Hause, who were both named among the substitutes.

There was also a place for fit-again Morgan Sanson on the bench as Villa looked to get back to winning ways.
