A host of Aston Villa players will be linking up with their countries during November’s international break.

Qualification for the 2022 World Cup continues around the globe as nations look to secure their place in Qatar.

Scotland

John McGinn Scotland v Slovakia

After a tricky start to World Cup qualifying, John McGinn and Scotland are flying.

Four straight wins has moved Steve Clarke’s side into second position in Group F behind runaway leaders Denmark with two games to play.

Sitting four points ahead of third place Israel, McGinn and Co will be looking to wrap up a play-off spot with a win against Moldova on Friday, November 12 (ko 5pm).

A home game against the Danes, who’ve already won the group, follows on Monday, November 15 (ko 7:45pm).

Poland

Matty Cash

Matty Cash could make his international bow for Poland after he received confirmation of his citizenship in October.

Paulo Sousa named the full-back in his squad and Cash will hope to help Poland secure a play-off spot at the very least from their final two Group I games.

Second place Poland, who can still win the group if England slip up, face Andorra on Friday, November 12 at 7.45pm before a home tie against Hungary on Monday, November 15 at 7.45pm.

Jamaica

Leon Bailey, Jamaica.

Leon Bailey returns to the Jamaica squad for their World Cup qualifying double header. 

The winger, who has 10 caps to his name, will face El Salvador on Saturday, November 13 (ko 2am) and USA on Tuesday, November 16 (ko 10pm).

Jamaica are off the pace in their CONCACAF group, currently sitting sixth in the eight-team group with five points from six games. 

Only three sides qualify automatically from the group, while the fourth place team goes into a play-off.

Argentina 

Emiliano Martinez, Argentina.

Emiliano Martínez has once again been named in the Argentina squad as he looks to continue his fine form on the international stage. 

The goalkeeper has conceded just twice in his last nine caps, keeping seven clean sheets, heading into World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.

Martínez and his compatriots face Uruguay on Friday, November 12 (ko 11pm) and Brazil on Tuesday, November 16 (ko 11:30pm) as they look to take two steps towards qualifying for Qatar. 

England

Tyrone Mings, England.

Gareth Southgate has come calling for Villa captain Tyrone Mings as he looks to secure the Three Lions' passage to the World Cup. 

Assuming second place Poland win both their remaining games, England need four points from fixtures against Albania and San Marino to book their ticket to Qatar. 

Albania are first up at Wembley on Friday, November 12 (k0 7:45pm) before a trip to San Marino on Monday, November 15 (ko 7:45pm).

Republic of Ireland

Conor Hourihane

Republic of Ireland and Conor Hourihane are looking to end their World Cup qualifying campaign on a high.

Ireland's hopes of qualifying are over heading into games against Group A leaders Portugal on Thursday, November 11 (ko 7:45pm) and Luxembourg on Sunday, November 14 (ko 7:45pm)

Zimbabwe

Marvelous Nakamba

Marvelous Nakamba's Zimbabwe are out of the running to reach the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but they will complete their qualifying schedule this month. 

First, they will travel to face South Africa on Thursday, November 11 at 7pm, before returning home to take on Ehiopia at 1pm on Sunday, November 14.

Young Lions

Carney Chukwuemeka

Several of Aston Villa's talented youngsters have been called up across various age groups for their respective nations.

Jacob Ramsey has been named in the England U21 squad for their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Czech Republic on Thursday, November 11 at 7pm, as well as their friendly with Georgia at 2pm on Tuesday, November 16. 

The Finland U21 squad are also in qualifying action and Viljami Sinisalo could be involved when they face Norway on Friday, November 12 at 2:30pm and Estonia on Monday, November 15 at 2:30pm. 

Tyreik Wright and Republic of Ireland U21 have two home qualifiers, against Italy on Friday, November 12 at 5:30pm and Sweden on Tuesday, November 16, also at 5:30pm.

At U20 level, Cameron Archer has received his first international call-up and he is joined in the England squad Jaden Philogene-Bidace. 

The duo will travel to face Portugal on Thursday, November 11 at 5pm.

Carney Chukwuemeka has been named in the England U19 squad as they begin their qualifying campaign for the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.

All three games will take place in Sweden, against Andorra on Wednesday, November 10 at 12pm, Switzerland on Saturday, November 13, also at 12pm and Sweden on Tuesday, November 16 at 5pm.

Lamare Bogarde will join up with the Netherlands U19 squad for their fixtures with England on Thursday, November 11, Portugal on Saturday, November 13 and Belgium on Monday, November 15.

There are also three fixtures for Sil Swinkels and the Netherlands U18 squad, as they go up against England on Thursday, November 11, Portugal on Saturday, November 13 and Belgium on Monday, November 15.
