Aaron Ramsey's impressive form has seen him nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for October.

The 18-year-old produced a dominant performance in the goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Bodymoor Heath, before providing an assist for Declan Frith during the 2-1 victory over Birmingham City at St Andrew's.

Ramsey ended October by being named as a substitute for the Premier League fixture with West Ham United, while he was also on the bench at Southampton.

He is up against Jamal Baptiste (West Ham United), Anthony Elanga (Manchester United), Ziyad Larkeche (Fulham), Dilan Markanday (Tottenham Hotspur), Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand (Arsenal), Dynel Simeu (Southampton) for the award.

The shortlist was decided by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel after coaches nominated the best performance by an opposing player in each of their Premier League 2 matches during the month.

Villa will be looking to go back-to-back after Caleb Chukwuemeka's success in September, while Ramsey is aiming to win the award for the second time after he was victorious in March.

Good luck, Aaron!
