Loan round-up: Revan and Young star in FA Cup

There was plenty of Aston Villa interest in the First Round of the FA Cup at the weekend, with several loanees in action. 

The first senior goal of Brad Young's career was crucial for Carlisle United, as the 18-year-old scored the opener before going on to assist the second goal for Zach Clough in their 2-0 victory over Horsham at Brunton Park. 

Dominic Revan had a slow start to life at Northampton Town but he is now making his mark, as he started, played the full 90 minutes and was named Man of the Match following their 2-2 draw at home against Cambridge United. 

Kaine Kesler-Hayden's Swindon Town are through to the Second Round after beating Crewe Alexandra 3-0 at home, with the right-back starting and playing the full game. 

Finn Azaz couldn't prevent Newport County from suffering a 1-0 defeat at Morecambe, with Seb Revan's Grimsby Town also falling by the same scoreline to Kidderminster Harriers. 

Arjan Raikhy was an unused substitute for Stockport County's 2-2 draw at Bolton Wanderers, while Salford City and Tyreik Wright will aim to reach the next stage tonight when they take on Dagenham and Redbridge at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

In France, Frédéric Guilbert continued his fine form by providing the assist for Strasbourg's equaliser as they drew 2-2 away at Nantes in Ligue 1.

Lovre Kalinic and Hajduk Split were 2-0 winners over Hrvatski Dragovoljac in Croatia, with Indiana Vassilev also on the winning side in MLS as Inter Miami won 1-0 away at New England Revolution, with the 20-year-old playing 74 minutes at Gillette Stadium.

Conor Hourihane and Wesley were both unused substitutes for their respective clubs, with Sheffield United falling to a 3-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers and Club Brugge earning a 2-2 draw with Standard Liege. 

Ákos Onódi started and played the full 90 minutes as Bromsgrove Sporting drew 1-1 with Nuneaton Town.

Louie Barry and Mungo Bridge were not involved for their respective clubs at the weekend.
