Morgan Sanson was handed his full Aston Villa debut as Dean Smith made three changes for the home clash against Wolves (ko 5.30pm).
The midfielder, who has made five substitute appearances since his January move from Marseille, was named in Smith’s starting XI to face Wanderers at Villa Park.
Fellow midfielder Douglas Luiz and wide man Trezeguet also returned, with Anwar El Ghazi, Jacob Ramsey and Marvelous Nakamba making way.
The latter two were named among the substitutes for the derby encounter, alongside youngsters Kaine Kesler and Jaden Philogene-Bidace, who was named in Villa's matchday 20 for the first time.
