There will be plenty to keep an eye on during the March international break, with current and future Aston Villa stars expected to represent their respective nations.

Earlier this month, Dean Smith confirmed that Marvelous Nakamba will not be linking up with the Zimbabwe squad during this period, with Emi Martínez and Douglas Luiz also remaining at Bodymoor Heath after Argentina and Brazil both saw their next two FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures postponed.

As always, we will keep you up-to-date with when and where our players will be in action...

John McGinn

John McGinn Scotland

John McGinn was crucial as Scotland reached UEFA Euro 2020 with a play-off final victory over Serbia in November.

Before Steve Clarke's side can begin preparations for their first major tournament appearance in 22 years, they have important business to care of as qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup gets underway.

McGinn - who captained his country for the first time earlier this season - has been called up for their first three qualifiers.

Scotland will face Austria at Hampden Park on Thursday, March 25 at 7:45pm, before travelling to Tel Aviv to take on Israel on Sunday, March 28, also at 7:45pm.

The trio of fixtures concludes back in Glasgow against the Faroe Islands on Wednesday, March 31 at 7:45pm.

Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings

Ollie Watkins v Liverpool

Ollie Watkins has been rewarded for a fine start to his Premier League career with a first call-up to the senior England squad.

Watkins has excelled since arriving at Villa Park in the summer, scoring 12 goals in all competitions. He is joined in the squad by Tyrone Mings, who has been played a key role in Dean Smith's side maintaining one of the best defensive records in the top flight so far this season.

Gareth Southgate has selected the Villa duo for England's upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Three Lions will begin their campaign at Wembley Stadium against San Marino on Thursday, March 25 at 7:45pm, before travelling to face Albania on Sunday, March 28 at 5pm.

England will end the international break by heading back to Wembley on Wednesday, March 31 to take on Poland at 7:45pm.

Bertrand Traoré

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

The line-up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations will be confirmed this month and Bertrand Traoré's Burkina Faso are amongst the nations hoping to secure their spot at the tournament.

With two qualifying fixtures remaining, Burkina Faso are top of Group B and on course to progress with a four-point gap to Malawi, who occupy third place.

Traoré and his teammates will travel to face second-place Uganda at St Mary's Stadium-Kitende on Wednesday, March 24 at 1pm.

Their campaign will then conclude at home against South Sudan on Monday, March 29 at 5pm.

Trézéguet

Trezeguet

Trézéguet and Egypt will also be hoping to secure their place at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations during the March international break.

Like Burkina Faso, Egypt also top their group but they hold a five-point advantage over Kenya, who are currently in third place.

Kenya are Egypt's first opponent during the break and they will travel to Nairobi on Thursday, March 25, with kick-off at 7pm.

The Pharaohs will hope to have qualification already secured by the time they return home to take on Comoros in Cairo on Monday, March 29 at 7pm.

Tyreik Wright

Tyreik Wright vs Reading

Tyreik Wright has been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for the first time

The forward - who is spending the second half of the season on loan at Walsall - has already represented his country at the Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 age groups, but this is his first call-up at this level.

Wright could make his debut when Jim Crawford's side travel to Colliers Park to face Wales in a friendly on Friday, March 26 at 1pm.

Kaine Kesler and Jaden Philogene-Bidace

Kaine Kesler v Crystal Palace

Two key members of Mark Delaney's squad will join up with England Under-19s for a training camp at St George's Park.

Kaine Kesler made his professional debut against Liverpool in the FA Cup Third Round earlier this year, while he has also captained our Under-23s in recent weeks.

Jaden Philogene-Bidace was rewarded with a new contract earlier this month and he made the matchday squad for our goalless draw with Wolves in the Premier League.

Filip Marschall, Carney Chukwuemeka, Aaron Ramsey and Louie Barry
Carney Chukwuemeka v Palace

Four of Aston Villa's young starlets have been called up to the England Under-18 squad for their upcoming friendly against Wales.

17-year-old goalkeeper Filip Marschall could make his international debut, while England regulars Carney Chukwuemeka, Aaron Ramsey and Louie Barry are also included following their impressive performances so far this season.

The Young Lions will travel to face Wales at Leckwith Stadium on Monday, March 29.

Caolan McBride

Caolan McBride

Midfielder Caolan McBride, 17, has been named in the Northern Ireland Under-19 squad for their upcoming training camp in Belfast.

McBride will spend five days with the squad at the camp, which has been organised following the cancellation of the 2021 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and subsequently the qualifying fixtures that were scheduled to take place this month.

Ben Chrisene

U23s: Aston Villa 3-4 Stoke City

Along with the Under-19s, England's Under-17s will also assemble for a training camp at St George's Park this month and Ben Chrisene will be a part of the squad.

Chrisene has enjoyed a promising campaign since his summer arrival at Aston Villa, having made his senior debut in the FA Cup Third Round against Liverpool in January.
