Matty Cash returned to Aston Villa’s starting XI to face Tottenham Hotspur having missed the last five matches due to injury.
The right-back, who sustained a hamstring injury in mid-February, was included in Dean Smith’s starting line-up having been an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw at Newcastle United last time out.
Cash’s return was one of two changes made by head coach Smith, midfielder Morgan Sanson also included from the off against Spurs at Villa Park (ko 7.30pm), with Ahmed Elmohamady and Jacob Ramsey named among the substitutes.
Bertrand Traore, forced off in the first half against the Magpies last week, was fit to start the Premier League encounter, along with Ollie Watkins, fresh from his maiden senior England call-up.
However, there was no place in the matchday 20 for captain Jack Grealish, who continues to step up his recovery from a leg injury.
