Aston Villa supporters have snapped up 2021/22 season tickets in record-breaking numbers following their release earlier this week.
The club announced on Tuesday afternoon that season tickets for the forthcoming Premier League campaign were now open for renewal.
And Villa fans have responded in unprecedented fashion – smashing all previous records.
Tuesday’s launch saw figures of more than double the club’s previous daily sales record, which came following Villa’s play-off final triumph and promotion back to the top flight.
And those high numbers have continued over the following days, with Wednesday’s sales also eclipsing the previous record, as supporters rush to renew and secure their seat at Villa Park for next season.
Existing 2019/20 season ticket holders have until 10pm on Wednesday, June 30 to renew.

2021/22 season tickets
The club are also seeing a surge in fans wishing to join the waiting list for season tickets.
Season tickets for 2021/22 will be capped as they were for the 2019/20 season.
Any remaining tickets will then be made available to those fans on the waiting list, with further details to be announced in due course ahead of this window opening.
Supporters who wish to join the waiting list can do so simply, for free, via the below link.
Those on the waiting list have the time and date recorded when they join to ensure there is a controlled order of priority in which tickets are released.
Therefore, any fans who previously joined the list ahead of the 2019/20 season still hold their original position in the queue.
