Conor Hourihane was on target again at the weekend but he couldn't stop Swansea City from falling to a 4-1 defeat away at Huddersfield Town.

The midfielder found the net for the fourth time in five Championship appearances with a trademark free-kick to equalise on the stroke of half-time, but the hosts struck three times after the break to end their winless run and inflict Swansea's first league defeat since mid-December.

Steve Cooper's side dropped down to fourth following the result, but they have two games in hand on the three teams above them in the table as they chase a return to the Premier League.

In France, Frédéric Guilbert followed up his impressive league debut for Strasbourg last week by helping his side keep a clean sheet and earn another valuable point on Sunday.

Angers were the visitors to La Meinau and the game ended goalless, with Guilbert once again catching the eye as he completed 100% of his dribbles and tackles during the 90 minutes.

The result means that Strasbourg are now six points clear of the relegation play-off spot in Ligue 1.

Ally Samatta and Fenerbahce suffered a setback in the Turkish Süper Lig title race as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Göztepe on Sunday, despite dominating the game.

Halil Akbunar's ninth-minute goal was enough for the visitors, with Samatta entering the fray for the final 17 minutes but unable to find the crucial equaliser.

Fenerbahce fell down to third with the result as arch-rivals Galatasaray moved three points clear at the top, with Besiktas occupying second place.

Indiana Vassilev came off the bench for Cheltenham Town on Saturday, but the League Two side were beaten 2-0 at home by Bradford City.

The young forward played the final 31 minutes as Cheltenham looked for a way back into the game, but Andy Cook's two goals were enough to secure all three points for the visitors.

19-year-old goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo played the full 90 minutes as Ayr United fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

It was a second successive Scottish Championship reverse for Ayr, but Sinisalo kept up his record of playing every minute in the league since his arrival in Scotland.

In the National League, Dominic Revan was key for Weymouth as they drew 0-0 with Solihull Moors, with an impressive individual performance earning the centre-back a place in the National League Team of the Week.

Elsewhere in the fifth tier, Jack Clarke came on for the final 10 minutes of Chesterfield's 1-0 win away at Notts County.

Lovre Kalinic, Tyreik Wright, Cameron Archer, Callum Rowe and Ben Guy were not in action this weekend.
