Aston Villa’s 2020/21 ePremier League (ePL) Club Playoff takes place on Wednesday, February 17.

Following online qualification, the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 gaming tournament ramps up a gear this week as the Club Playoffs get underway to see who will represent Villa at the live ePL Finals and the chance to compete for Premier League glory.

Wednesday’s Playoff features the top seven players from both PS4 and Xbox qualifiers and also includes last year's Villa finalists on each console.

Following the Club Playoffs, the top player on each platform from all 20 top-flight clubs will advance to the ePL Finals in spring and the chance represent on the biggest stage.

Tournament Format:

  • 8-player (groups of 4) dual-format group stage followed by a 4-player single-elimination playoff per platform running simultaneously
  • All matches in the Club Playoffs will be two-legged
  • Players will be seeded based on their finishing position in the Online Qualifiers
  • All matches in the Club Playoffs will be played on the latest retail build for FIFA 21
  • Players must adhere to the following squad restrictions:
  1. Only select players who are included on the List of Eligible Players found here.
  2. A maximum of two “icon” cards;
  3. A maximum of one 95+ rated non-“icon” player;
  4. A maximum of two 90-94 rated non-“Icon” players; and
  5. All other players must be 89 rated or lower.

Online Tournament

The Aston Villa Club Playoff will take place online.

Online Player Check-in: 4.30pm

Group Stage – Round #1: 5pm

Group Stage – Winner’s Match / LB Round 1: 6pm

Group Stage – Qualification Match: 7pm

Playoffs – Semi-Final #1 & Semi-Final #2: 8pm

Playoffs - Finals: 9pm
