Loan round-up: Wright on target for Salford

Tyreik Wright found the net for Salford City as they brushed aside Newport County 3-0 in League Two on Saturday.

The on-loan Aston Villa forward took less than a minute to put the Ammies into the lead and register his first goal for the club in only his third appearance.

Wright played 63 minutes of the victory, which was Salford’s first of the season.

Villa team-mate Finn Azaz was not involved for Newport, who sit 15^th in the table, one point and one place above City.

Elsewhere in League Two, Kaine Kesler-Hayden again completed 90 minutes as fourth-placed Swindon Town saw off Mansfield Town 1-0 on Saturday.

Brad Young stepped off the bench for Carlisle United to play the final 17 minutes of their 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool United.
