Summer signings Emi Martinez, Matty Cash and Ollie Watkins were all included in Aston Villa’s starting XI for their 2020/21 Premier League opener against Sheffield United.
Goalkeeper Martinez, right-back Cash and forward Watkins were all in head coach Dean Smith’s line-up to face the Blades at Villa Park (ko 6pm).
Martinez and Cash make their debuts while Watkins will be looking to build upon his goalscoring bow against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup.
Fellow summer arrival Bertrand Traore only made his move to the club on Saturday morning and was therefore unavailable to feature in the matchday 18.
Tyrone Mings, having penned a contract extension earlier in the day, was named at the heart of defence.
