Dean Smith picked up an award from the League Managers Association after Aston Villa's demolition of Liverpool on Sunday.

As reward for a 7-2 victory against the reigning champions, the Head Coach received the Performance of the Week accolade.

Smith helped mastermind the momentous success as Villa upset the odds to win their third straight Premier League game.

One of the best Villa displays in recent memory was kickstarted after just four minutes when Ollie Watkins scored his first top-flight goal.

The striker completed his hat-trick before half-time, with John McGinn also finding the net as Villa led 4-1 at the break.

Ross Barkley added to the lead before Jack Grealish rounded off an emphatic win with a brace to go with his three assists.
