At A Glance

Gemma Davies' side welcome Everton to the Banks's Stadium on Saturday, with Villa looking for their first points back in the top flight.

It will be a first outing for Villa in their new home, having made the move from Boldmere St. Michael's following their promotion to the WSL.

Villa have been beaten 2-0 and 3-1 in their opening two games by Manchester City and Reading, respectively.

Arthur vs Reading

Meanwhile, Everton have flown out of the gates to start the 2020-21 season.

The Toffees opened their campaign with a 4-0 drubbing of Bristol City, before impressively claiming a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur a week later.

Their last two results have both come in the resumption of last season's FA Cup campaign.

Willie Kirk's side upset Chelsea (2-1) to reach the semi-final of the competition, where they then swept Birmingham City aside 3-0 last night.

They will face either Manchester City or Arsenal in the final.

Birmingham City vs Everton

“I felt in the first 45 minutes, we struggled to secure the ball. We struggled to get hold of the game in central areas. The game bypassed our midfield.” “We talk a lot about taking risks and daring greatly; wanting the players to get on the ball and love the ball. The response going into the second half was so much better."

Gemma Davies

on the Reading defeat

“Despite not having a fixture (since September 13th), a surge in intensity and competitiveness has been really evident in training. We’re really looking forward to getting going again against Everton this weekend.” “Obviously it’s good to have that time to look back and reflect on how we’re performing across all areas. We had some really positive discussions around our performances both in pre-season, and our first two games of the campaign and we’re certain that we’ll be picking up points in no time.”
