Welcome Back, Jack

Jack Grealish (£7.1m) should be raring to go for the resumption of Premier League duties this weekend, and the Villa captain has a growing army of Fantasy Managers who have him in their team.

He's one of the top five transfers-in for Gameweek 5, involving a Sunday evening trip to Leicester City for Dean Smith's men, with over a million managers hoping for more bumper returns like the superb 24 points he produced in Villa's 7-2 thumping of Liverpool.

Jack Grealish

That game seems so long ago, and how the Villans build on it will be fascinating to see. What is worth remembering is Sunday's opponents Leicester will also be looking for a reaction after losing 3-0 at home to West Ham last time out.

Villa exposed Liverpool's high line in the Gameweek 4 encounter, and Grealish, Ross Barkley (5.9m), John McGinn (5.5m) and co will be looking to continue Villa's fine form at the King Power Stadium on Sunday night.

Ollie's at the Wheel

An emphatic victory over the reigning champions has, understandably, put many Villa players on the Fantasy radar.

Keeper Emiliano Martinez (£4.7m) joins his skipper in the top 10 for FPL purchases, with defenders Tyrone Mings (£5.1m) and Ezri Konsa (£4.6m) also proving popular with FPL Managers.

An extra 160,000+ bosses have boosted striker Ollie Watkins' (£5.9m) ownership levels as well.

The hat-trick hero against Liverpool is now found in 3.4% of FPL squads, three times the figure it was going into that match.

Watkins 3

But there are currently 16 strikers with bigger fantasy ownership than a man with both form and fixtures on his side. Over the last three Gameweeks – Villa started a week later than most teams, remember – his stats are not those you'd expect of the 17th most popular forward in FPL.

In fact, he's in the top five for attempts (10) among strikers, fourth for attempts in the area (10), third for penalty box touches (19) and second for big chances, with five.

Cash to be Made

Matty Cash

Villa are a tighter defensive unit this season. They've kept two clean sheets and only two teams have allowed fewer shots on target than their total of 11.

Right-back Matty Cash (£5.0m) has settled into that backline impressively and he's already displaying an attacking threat as well.

Since Gameweek 2, he's in the top five among defenders for chances created (four) and in the top 10 for crosses (10).

He's also chipped in with a couple of goal attempts. At £5.0m, he looks a solid bet for returns at both ends of the pitch as the season develops.
