Aston Villa’s 2020/21 home kit is on sale now and we want you to send us your pics proudly wearing it!

 

Submit a photo, or short video, and we will select the best ones to feature in an alternative music video for Villa’s new home strip.

 

The music video will feature DJ and lifelong Villa supporter Nathan Dawe with his track ‘Lighter’, featuring KSI, which is currently riding high at No.3 in the UK singles chart – with the song also used on the club’s kit launch video.

Send us your image/video donning Villa’s new home shirt and you could feature.

Terms and Conditions

 

Promoter: Aston Villa Foundation, Villa Park, Birmingham, B6 6HE (Registered company number 08589263) (“Aston Villa”).

 

1. ELIGIBILITY. This Competition is open to anyone aged 13 or over. Anyone entering the Competition who is under the age of 18 must have the permission of their parent or legal guardian. Aston Villa reserve the right to ask for proof of such permission at any time. Employees of Aston Villa (or any affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies) are not eligible to enter, nor are members of these employees’ families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners).

2. HOW TO ENTER. To enter the Competition, you must submit a video or still image by email to marketingteam@avfc.co.uk using the subject “LIGHTER Competition”. Your video / image must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. The video / image must feature you (or at least one other person).
  2. The video / image must feature the new Aston Villa 2020/21 home shirt (for example, you could be wearing it, or the shirt could be in the background).
  3. If you include anyone else in your video / image you must have their express permission to both include them in the video/image and to submit the video / image to us. You must explain to them the purpose of the Competition and what we may use the video / image for. If any person featured is under the age of 18, you must get the permission of their parent or legal guardian. Aston Villa reserve the right to ask for proof of permission at any time.
  4. The video / image must be your own work and you must have all relevant rights to submit the video / image to us.
  5. The video / image must not feature the intellectual property rights of any other person (for example brand names / company logos, etc).
  6. The content of your video / image must be appropriate. For example, it should not include any content which is illegal, offensive, immoral, racial, political, religious, violent, pornographic, obscene or otherwise contrary to common taste / decency.

By submitting your entry, you grant to Aston Villa a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive right and license to copy, distribute, and display each submitted entry, in any media including posting on the Club’s website, social media, channels, other publications and marketing materials. You agree that Aston Villa has the right to use, copy, modify, edit, and create derivative works from each submitted entry. 

By entering or permitting your child to enter or feature in any entry, you understand that your/their entry (or portion thereof) may be (re-)posted online, in Aston Villa’s sole discretion, to be viewed by members of the general public (and once posted online may be re-posted or shared by the general public outside of Aston Villa’s control.

Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Aston Villa is not responsible for lost, corrupted or delayed entries. Aston Villa reserves the right to disqualify anyone who it believes violated these Terms and Conditions.

3. COMPETITION PERIOD. The Competition Period is as follows:

From 8.8.20 to 22.8.20

USE OF YOUR ENTRY.Other than your submission, your personal data will only be used by Aston Villa and / or its agents (which include Aston Villa Football Club Limited) acting on Aston Villa’s behalf only for the operation of this Competition.

In accordance with the license granted above, you agree that Aston Villa may use your submission for other marketing purposes in the future.

4. SELECTION OF THE WINNERS.Depending on the number of entries received, Aston Villa will select the entries that it considers the best (at its absolute discretion) for inclusion in an Aston Villa promotional video featuring the new Aston Villa 2020/21 home shirt and Nathan Dawe’s new single “Lighter”.  Entries may be modified (for example, shortened, edited, or cropped) for inclusion in the promotional video.

The number of entries selected will depend on the number of acceptable entries received and the length of such entries.

No payment will be made or additional prize awarded to any winner. The Prize is to be included in the Aston Villa promotional video referred to above. There is no equivalent cash value to the Prize and no alternatives will be given.

You will not be notified whether your submission has been successful or unsuccessful. If your submission is successful you will be able to see it in the final video when it is published via the Aston Villa official social media channels.

5. OTHER. No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this Competition or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Aston Villa’s decision shall be final. Aston Villa reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw this Competition at any time but only before the delivery of any prize, without notice.

Participants in this Competition agree that Aston Villa will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, costs, damage, disappointment or losses of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a prize, or from participation in this Competition. Nothing in this clause shall limit Aston Villa’s liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or liability arising out of Aston Villa’s fraud.

Aston Villa cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party. 

Insofar as is permitted by law, Aston Villa, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Aston Villa, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected

These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

6. SPIRIT OF THE COMPETITION. If an entrant attempts to compromise the integrity or the legitimate operation of this Competition by hacking or by cheating or committing fraud in ANY way, we may seek damages from that entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. Further, we may, in our absolute discretion, disqualify that entrant’s entry to this Competition and may ban the entrant from participating in any of our future promotions, so please play fairly. 

Aston Villa cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party. Participants in this Competition agree that Aston Villa will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, costs, damage or disappointment of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a prize, or from participation in this Competition.
