Aston Villa Women’s first two fixtures of the new season have been released, with a huge game on the calendar to start the 2020/21 campaign.
Gemma Davies’ side will face Manchester City in their curtain-raiser at home, before facing Reading at the Madejski Stadium a week later.
The fixture against The Citizens will fall on September 5/6, with a date and time to be confirmed in due course.
Having finished second in the Super League last season, Gareth Taylor’s City side will provide an early test for the top division’s newest member.
Villa made the quickest of starts last season in the Women's Championship and are coming into the new campaign having tasted defeat in just three of their last 21 games.
