Aston Villa are proud to announce the signing of Denmark international Stine Larsen from FC Fleury 91.
The 24-year-old striker joins after just one season in France having spent the previous six in Denmark with Brondby IF.
Larsen, who has 45 international caps to her name, joins fellow striker Diana Silva, among others, in linking up with Gemma Davies’ squad ahead of the new Barclays Women’s Super League season.
Larsen arrives with plenty of experience at both club and international level having already played in the Champions League and European Championship respectively.
On the club's latest addition, Davies said: “Stine is a young Danish forward who has represented Denmark at all age groups and major tournaments.
“Stine is a traditional number nine who likes to operate inside the 18-yard box.
“She has an eye for goal and is dominant both aerially and with her feet.
“We are yet to see the best from Stine and we are all so excited to see how she continues to develop in a claret & blue shirt!”
The Super League season is aiming for a start date of 5-6 September.
