Aston Villa Women have announced their retained players list as they build toward their debut season in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
13 players from the FA Women’s Championship title winning squad have committed to the club for the upcoming campaign.
Homegrown players Asmita Ale, Elisha N’Dow, Jodie Hutton, Amy West, Shania Hayles and Emma Follis will all be representing Villa in the top flight.
Sian Rogers, Nat Haigh, Ella Franklin, Nadine Hanssen, Sophie Haywood, Emily Syme and Marisa Ewers join them in Gemma Davies’ squad for the 20/21 season.
Head Coach Davies is delighted to have secured their services for the new season.
She said: “With the players we’ve retained, we have the foundations for an exciting, talented and dedicated squad.
“This group were part of something special and I know they’re keen to achieve much more in a claret and blue shirt.
“As a club, we place a strong emphasis on our homegrown players, so it’s great that we will have so many playing in the Super League next season.”
