Barclays Premier League
Villa Park
Sunday November 8 - KO 1.30pm
Referee: Craig Pawson

TICKET LATEST

Be here on Sunday as Villa face Man City - and new boss Rémi Garde takes charge of the team for the first time.

Garde was appointed manager hours before the Tottenham match - and had a watching brief at White Hart Lane.

But Garde, former manager of Lyon, has worked with his players this week as he looks to get his ideas across ahead of the 1.30pm kick-off.

Then he will take his place in the dugout as the Etihad outfit head to B6. Manuel Pellegrini's men have made an impressive start to the 2015/16 season and currently sit top of the table.

We've enjoyed some good battles with City over the past few years - and we hope for another one as Sunday comes around.

Who could forget our 3-2 Villa Park win in September 2013?

That day, Karim El Ahmadi, Leandro Bacuna and Andi Weimann sealed victory after City had twice led.

Come along to cheer on the lads - and welcome Rémi into the claret and blue family.

General prices are £27 to £45 [adults and concessions], £20 to £45 [U18s] and £17 to £45 [U8s].

You can also bring your son or daughter to the game via our adult/junior combo ticket from just £40.

It is a maximum of six seats per booking - and remember to supply one client reference per seat to build up your booking history.

To buy tickets, contact 0333 323 1874, visit the Ticket Offices at Villa Park and New Street or BUY ONLINE.

TEAM NEWS

Skipper Micah Richards returns after serving a one-match suspension.

Ashley Westwood and Gabby Agbonlahor will both be assessed after suffering a head injury and a tight calf at Tottenham.

Idrissa Gana and Adama Traore may return after being rested.

Meanwhile, the visitors will not risk playmaker David Silva, who is close to a comeback following an ankle injury.

Kevin De Bruyne is set for a recall after being rested in midweek.

Kelechi Iheanacho is available after being ineligible for Wednesday's Champions League win against Sevilla.

Fit-again duo Fabian Delph and Gael Clichy were on the bench for that match and could feature, but Pablo Zabaleta, Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero remain out.

DUGOUT ANALYSIS

Garde

Rémi Garde

I know the fans have a big role to play.

The Holte End is fantastic. I have seen it on pictures.

The fans need the supporters.

I have learnt a lot from training. It is very important.

Some players were really new for me.

You have the player and the human. I am discovering about all of this.

I have been happy with how we have trained.

We have nothing to lose against Man City. They are top. We are bottom.

I want my players to enjoy the game - we will make it a tough game for them.

Manuel Pellegrini

There is no easy game in the Premier League, especially against Aston Villa.

Always when you have a new manager, you have some reaction.

They're at the bottom, they have a new manager, so they have the motivation not to be relegated.

He was at Carrington two years ago but I don't know him too much.

He was a friend of Patrick Viera's so he wanted to talk about football and working - he's a young experienced manager at an important club like Lyon.

I am sure, after this game, he will have a good career at Villa.

PLAYER VERDICT

Sinclair

Scott Sinclair

It's going to be difficult because Man City are packed with world-class players.

We know we need to be at our very best against them but we are going into the game feeling positive.

I'm sure the atmosphere will be great, our fans get behind us and we just need to try our best to give them something to shout about.

Fernando

Every game in the Premier League is a tough one.

Although Aston Villa are bottom of the table, we know they are a team that play hard and are capable of playing well.

They are aggressive, they have a new manager but we have to be focussed in order to earn another three points.

MATCH STATS

Rémi Garde will take charge of his first game as our manager - he won his first league game in charge of Lyon (3-1 v Nice in August 2011).

Garde will only be the sixth different Frenchman to take charge of a Premier League game after Arsene Wenger, Gerard Houllier, Jean Tigana, Jacques Santini and Alain Perrin.

Yaya Toure has scored all nine penalties he's taken in the Premier League.

Kevin de Bruyne has scored three and assisted four goals in his last six Premier League appearances.

Following Man City's recent goalless draw with Man United, we are now on the current longest Premier League run without a 0-0 (29 games).

We haven't failed to beat Man City at home when we've scored since November 2006, winning three and drawing two of the games in which we've found the net.

Having failed to score in his first five Premier League appearances, Jordan Ayew has scored in back-to-back games for us.

Our last five Premier League goals have come in the second half.

We have scored twice the amount of goals (10) than we had at this stage last season (5).
