The game as a whole was a little bit more subdued after the break, due no doubt to the sun beating down.
But Villa could again have scored, Charles N'Zogbia unlucky with a 25-yard free-kick which clattered against the post.
Mark Bunn was in fine form at the death as he tipped over a stunning long-range effort from Braga.
Overall Villa will have taken great heart from the performance ahead of the domestic programme of friendlies.
