We announced the signing of Sarah Mayling on July 2, 2021. The 24-year-old re-joined the Club having spent the previous four-and-a-half seasons at Birmingham City.

Mayling operates up and down the right-hand side, and received the Players’ Player of the Season award at City following the 2020/21 campaign. Mayling, a lifelong Villa fan, has also represented England at Under-17s level through to their Under-23s.

Our no.2 marked her return to the club by scoring a stunning free-kick in an opening day win over Leicester City and has been a mainstay at right-back since her return.
