Aston Villa Women announced the signing of Mayumi Pacheco from West Ham United for an undisclosed fee on August 16 2021.

The former England youth international, known as 'Maz', joined the Club having spent the previous three seasons in the WSL with West Ham and Reading respectively.

Having made her WSL debut with Liverpool at just 16 years of age, Pacheco also helped England to a third-place finish at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Pacheco, 22, is a natural left-back and is a welcome addition in that area for Carla Ward and her staff.
